Famed Dallas chef Tommy Simpson is the Executive Chef and General Manager of AMPM restaurant & lounge. Chef Simpson brings more than 15 years of food and restaurant experience to AMPM. He has traveled the world, from California to South America to Dallas, and along the way he’s perfected a signature style that mixes elegance with eclectic, creativity with contemporary, American with international. Chef Simpson is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy.
Chef Simpson is highly respected in the Dallas restaurant community. His experience in Dallas includes being the Executive Chef at N9NE Steakhouse, and the Executive Sous Chef at Nobu Dallas and Hotel ZaZa’s Dragonfly restaurant. Chef Simpson has also been part of Dallas’ most distinguished hotels: the Crescent Court Hotel and the Mansion on Turtle Creek.
At AMPM, Chef Simpson has taken into consideration today’s economy and created a trendy, affordable, upscale American menu that is an extraordinary combination of his expertise and passions. Lunch and dinner menu items include mango mint spring rolls, tuna tartar, avocado, ginger or mojito granite, watermelon salad with watercress, ginger pork tenderloin, bbq brisket, Kobe meatloaf, filet, and potato enchiladas.
